HELPFUL TIPS

  • Inspect the Property Thoroughly

Prior to move in you will be required to do a walkthrough of the home. Once you have signed the lease and moved in make sure you are thorough in your inspection. This will be used as a guide when you move out.

  • Read Lease Terms Carefully

When signing a lease you are entering a legally binding contract for at least 1 year. Make sure you fully understand all the terms and stipulations written in your lease. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask your representative!

  • Pay Your Rent On Time

You've signed a lease, and are obligated to make your rental payment on time.

  • Let Your Landlord Know About Maintenance Problems Immediately

Is your kitchen sink leaking? Do you have a running toilet? Is your ac not working? Make sure you report maintenance issues as soon as you notice them!

  • Not Sure About Something? Ask

If there is something you are unsure of at any point, reach out to a representative and they will assist you to the best of their ability.

  • Renter's Insurance

Though not required, we request everyone get Renter's Insurance. This serves as an extra protection to yourself and your belongings.

  • Keep Your Unit Clean

Make sure you are keeping the property clean.

  • Change AC Filter Monthly

An AC unit filters out a lot of air and dust particles - making them easily dirty. Make sure you are changing your ac filter monthly. A good rule of thumb is to change it each time you pay your rent or each time you pay your power bill. Keeping the ac filter clean prevents damage to the ac unit and keeps the ac running smoothly.

  • Clean Drains

Sink clogged or draining slowly? Using a Drain Clog Remover Snake (found at local shopping centers in plumbing section) You can feed through the drain and clear out any clogs caused by hair and other items possibly dropped down the drain. If this doesn't solve your issue contact your landlord.

  • Drip Pipes in Cold Weather

When the weather drops below freezing outside, make sure you drip your pipes.
